- Cookie Tip - If you have used
the internet very much, chances are that you have come across a
website that has asked for a cookie. Cookies are very small
pieces of information which are stored in your browser for reference
by that site if you accept them. When you accept a cookie you
are essentially saying that it is ok for that website to place a small
amount of information in your browser so that the next time you return
it will be able to automatically enter pertinent information from your
last visit. This could include such things as logon information,
your interests, settings for personalized pages or whether or not you
have visited the site before. Cookies cannot look through your hard
drive, "steal" information or even contain viruses.
They only contain information that you give them. Although there
are some security risks associated with cookies, the most important
thing to remember is that cookies are generally used to provide you
with a more pleasurable and personal internet experience.
For more information on cookies, visit CookieCentral.

is gathered and what it looks like. Click here

- Browser Tip - Many sites on the internet
are designed to work best with browser versions 4.0 or higher. This
allows sites to use unique visual and audio techniques and enhancements
that are not supported with previous browser versions.

If you are not using Netscape
4.0 or higher or Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, you might be missing out
on advanced features in various websites and may want to consider
upgrading your browser. Be sure to check the system requirements of
the software, however, before upgrading.
